DUBAI
***HEYYA, TODAY I WANT YOU TO ADDRESS MY THOUGHT ON THE RICH CITY "DUBAI".
Dubai is a global city and business hub of the middle east. It is also a major global transport hub for passengers and cargo. Oil revenue helped accelerate the development of the city, which was already a major mercantile hub, but Dubai's oil reserves are limited and production levels are low: today, less than 5% of the emirate's revenue comes from oil A growing center for regional and international trade since the early 20th century, the Dubai economy today relies on revenues from trade, tourism, aviation, real estate, and financial services.
Dubai has attracted world attention through large construction projects and sports events, in particular, the world's tallest building, the BURJ KHALIFA. As of 2012, Dubai was the most expensive city in the Middle East. In 2014, Dubai's hotel rooms were rated as the second most expensive in the world.
THE GOVERNANCE OF DUBAI!
Dubai has been ruled by the Al Maktoum family since 1833; the emirate is a constitutional monarchy. Dubai citizens participate in the electoral college to vote representatives to the Federal national council of the UAE. The ruler, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is also the Vice President and Prime minister of UAE and member of the Supreme Council of the Union (SCU). Dubai appoints 8 members in two-term periods to the (FNC) of the UAE, the supreme federal legislative body.
THE BURJ KHALIFA!
Burj Khalifa, known as the Burj Dubai before its inauguration, is an 828 meters (2,717 ft) high skyscraper in Dubai, and the tallest building in the world. The tower was inspired by the structure of the desert flower Hymenocallis. It was constructed by more than 30 contracting companies around the world with workers of a hundred nationalities. It is an architectural icon. The building opened in 2010
THE BURJ AL ARAB!
The Burj Al Arab (Arabic: برج العرب, Tower of the Arabs), a LUXURY HOTEL, is frequently described as "the world's only 7-star ", though its management has said it has never made that claim. A Jumeirah Group spokesperson is quoted as saying: "There's not a lot we can do to stop it. We're not encouraging the use of the term. We've never used it in our advertising." The hotel opened in December 1999.
THE PALM JUMEIRAH!
The Palm Jumeirah (Arabic: نخلة الجميرة) is an artificial archipelago in the United Arab Emirates, created using land reclamation by engineers which extends into the Persian Gulf. It is part of a larger series of developments called the Palm Islands, including Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira, which, when completed, will together increase Dubai's shoreline by a total of 520 kilometers (320 mi). It has an estimated population of 10,500 as of 2016. It is located on the Jumeirah coast
